Showings & Buyer Visits

Showings let interested buyers view your property in person. How they are arranged and what comes out of them is worth understanding.

How showings typically work

  • Buyers or their representatives request a showing through your listing brokerage.
  • Showings are usually scheduled in advance at agreed times.
  • Some listings use open houses in addition to private showings.
  • You may be asked to be away from the property during showings.

Preparing for showings

  • Keep the property tidy and well-lit.
  • Secure valuables and personal documents.
  • Consider temperature, scent, and ambient lighting.
  • Ensure access is clear for visitors and photography.

What feedback can tell you

Feedback from showings can offer general signals about how buyers are perceiving the property. It is not a prediction of whether an offer will come or at what price. Discuss feedback with your real estate professional.

Showing activity varies and does not guarantee an offer. Market conditions, pricing, and presentation all play a role.
